Three 3D concrete printed stairs in Rotterdam
Between the impressive and largest windshields in the world, designed by Maarten Struijs, 3D.Weber had the honor to compliment the area with three printed stairs.
Three concrete printed slope stairs have been printed layer by layer for the project ‘Landscapes Theemswegtracé’. Commissioned by the Port of Rotterdam Authority N.V., we printed three staircases with different dimensions using a parametric model. This makes the three different slope stairs in size and steepness easy to design and print. The printing time of a 1.5 meter slope stair is approximately 2 hours. The engineering is done by Witteveen+Bos and execution by Idverde NL.
Two staircases consist of a single part of about 3 linear meters and 1 staircase is a longer staircase consisting of 2 connected parts.
