3D-Printed slope stair for safe maintenance at A12 Velperbroek

For the A12 Velperbroek interchange project, we delivered a 3D-printed slope stair to provide access to a service path. Due to a noise barrier, the control cabinet for the signal gantry was not accessible from the main carriageway. Thanks to the stair and the service path, maintenance is now simple and safe again.

Smarter maintenance with 3D-printed slope stairs

At the Velperbroek interchange, a service path was constructed between the A12 main carriageway and the exit ramp to enable maintenance of traffic control installations behind a noise barrier. On the side where the control cabinet is located, there is a steep slope. By installing a 3D-printed stair leading to the service path, safe access is guaranteed and traffic safety is maintained.

Our 3D-printed slope stair offers a durable and lightweight solution that is easy to handle. Thanks to its low weight and custom design, the project could be completed quickly—crucial for keeping road closures as short as possible.

Why choose 3D-printed slope stairs?

  • Safe & smart – stable access to installations on slopes
  • Fast & efficient – lightweight and easy to install
  • Sustainable – less material, long lifespan

This application contributes to traffic safety and demonstrates how innovative technology accelerates maintenance work.
