Slopestairs, Zwijndrecht

Commissioned by Waterschap Hollandse Delta, GKB Machines B.V. has installed a slopestair at the pumping station on the Ringdijk, near house number 16 in Zwijndrecht. The staircase, consisting of two elements with a total dimension of 5300x900 mm, was designed to provide access and improve safety on the site. With this placement, not only is a functional solution realized, but the project also contributes to the efficiency of the management of the surrounding wetland.

The cooperation between the parties involved resulted in a successful and timely implementation. The staircase are a sustainable and low-maintenance addition to the infrastructure, fitting within the vision of Waterschap Hollandse Delta to make water management accessible and future-oriented. This project shows how customization and craftsmanship go hand in hand with practical solutions to regional challenges.
