UrbanComfort Outdoor Furniture

Street furniture in urban environments must withstand intensive daily use: robust, low‑maintenance, and resistant to weather and wear. But just as important is comfort, aesthetics, and the ability to invite people to meet. Together with architect Mathieu Bruls, we developed UrbanComfort — a furniture line made from 3D‑printed concrete that seamlessly combines design, comfort, durability, and outdoor usability.

An inviting contribution to the urban environment

As our inner cities get more and more one- or two-person households, the public space becomes an even more important place to meet. The 3D printed line of outdoor furniture UrbanComfort will help this further domestication of our parks and squares.

Just like indoor furniture, the pieces look comfortable — and they are. The chairs, benches, and tables genuinely invite people to sit down and connect. The combination of comfort, design freedom, and robust material use makes the collection suitable for both public spaces and private gardens.

UrbanComfort is available in natural grey concrete, as well as in terracotta and mint green. Visit m12.nl/urbancomfort for the full range or download the UrbanComfort outdoor furniture catalogue.

Our contribution: 3D concrete printing for design freedom and quality
UrbanComfort is designed with a focus on both aesthetics and strength. The furniture can be installed without a foundation, yet it is heavy enough that it cannot be moved or taken away. Thanks to 3D concrete printing, organic shapes and smooth curves can be created without complex formwork or material waste.
