3D printed length:

22.3 meters

As the first municipality in Limburg, a 3D printed slope stair has been installed in Stein municipality in the outlying area Steenwegstraat.

Plangroep Heggen was a supervisor on the project. This party is very pleased with the benefits of 3D concrete printing. ‘Thanks to this technique, changes in the design can immediately be translated into the execution,’ says Commercial Manager Herman Dijk.

A slope stair can be custom made and delivered within 3 weeks. The stairs arrive in parts and the stair elements are expertly loaded off the truck and placed directly in the right place. An important advantage in placement is that the embankment is not affected.

Contractor Wegenbouw Kurvers utilize the expertise of Jennekins crane rental. This joint effort ensured proper and accurate placement of the 3D printed slope stairs. And the crane rental company is also looking enthusiastically at the possibilities of 3D concrete printing. Jeroen Jenniskens: “No shape is too crazy with 3D printed stairs from 3D.Weber.”
